In early January 2023, a community of passionate crypto enthusiasts, IT leaders and problem solvers created the OPTA project. Under this banner, the team resolved to take a proactive and aggressive approach to:

(1) understand and address the problems that are preventing mass adoption of crypto and tokenized assets,

(2) provide valuable real world utility solutions to legitimize crypto that promote widespread understanding and usage of cryptocurrencies and tokenized digital assets. (NO MORE MEME TOKENS!)

(3) Over come some of the recent negativity surrounding the recent events in the crypto world (FTX, Binance, Luna) and begin to restore trust in the crypto system by bringing in risk assessment, compliance and governance to keep assets secure

Understanding these Problems: OPTA’s next step was to take the time to identify and understand the problems within the industry. We conducted research and analysis to understand the root causes. The results reveal that most crypto enthusiasts struggle in 4 general areas:

Understanding the technology to a point where they are comfortable using it.

Finding solutions that convert technology into products that they can utilize and benefit financially from.

Reducing the risks that are associated with a rapidly growing global digital asset industry, especially around security and ethics

Being able to trust the ethics and actions of the project leaders and teams where too often they negatively impact the project community, token price and their investments

Further analysis reveals that dozens of more specific problems exist. Many of these 2nd and 3rd tier problems are caused by the above stated complexity of blockchain technology and the speed in which it is evolving, adapting, and advancing. and It is impossible to provide true solutions when the first step of identifying and analyzing problems is skipped. A “solution” that skips this critical step is not a true solution and likely contributes to the problem. No matter how elegant the solution, if you are solving the wrong problem the solution is also wrong.

Our vision is to redefine finance by merging artificial intelligence, machine learning, algorithms, defi crypto, with real world finance and assets. Our society is in need of sustainability to flourish; and fortunately, the transition is near. Technology has given us the tools and people now have knowledge they gained over thousands of years at their fingertips. But to gain traction in harnessing this knowledge, everyone must work together to combat society’s greatest threats, lack of knowledge, lack of access and an unlevel playing field. Technology and digital innovation are the key to our better future. We want to even out the playing field and empower everyone – individuals, businesses and institutions alike – to participate in the development of interconnected financial ecosystems where every single action is accounted for and its impact is multiplied to benefit all instead of only a few. The catalyst for participation is trust, granted by blockchain. That is in turn furthered by this easy to use and transparent ecosystem we are creating, called OPTA.
